A breach of academic integrity is still a breach even if you didn’t mean to do anything wrong or did so by accident. If your conduct or submitted work has breached academic integrity, it is treated as a breach regardless of intent. All Mohawk College students are expected to understand and maintain behaviours consistent with academic integrity at all times.

The best thing to do is to commit to building the skills and knowledge so that you do not find yourself in a situation where you have unintentionally breached academic integrity. You can build these skills through the resources listed on the Student Academic Integrity Guide, visiting the Library@Mycanvas course, and speaking directly with your faculty.
